The Board of Directors for Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 142 (the District) would like to update residents in the Creekside Ranch community regarding the upcoming storm water drainage improvements project.

In August 2020, the District authorized a list of projects to improve the Westheimer Lakes Channel and Andrus Creek storm water conveyance. Immediately, Champions Hydro-Lawn, our drainage facilities maintenance company, completed the process of restoring this channel to its original depth and grade. Furthermore, downstream property owners allowed the District to conduct surveying of existing conditions of Andrus Creek. With the completion of the topographic survey, the District began a drainage analysis of possible improvements.

During the January 13, 2022 Board of Directors meeting, the District awarded the Westheimer Lakes and Andrus Creek Improvements project to Sterling Site Services, LLC. Designed by the District’s Engineer, Jones|Carter; the project will increase the depth and grade of the channel and creek in order to lower the water surface elevations during a storm. As part of this project, the District acquired property in the downstream Andrus Creek.

Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2022 and anticipated to be complete by June 2022.
