Water Service Update
Fort Bend Co. MUD 142 residents are not subject to the boil water notices issued for the city of Katy. At this time, the FBMUD 142’s water distribution system is functionally normally and there have been no water outages. The District’s operator, Environmental Development Partners (EDP), has activated the District’s Emergency Response Plan and is checking the facilities to confirm and supplement winterization efforts (heater operation, additional insulation, etc.) EDP is also opening valves to allow some water to leak as needed to help prevent them from freezing. If ice accumulates on overhead power lines, there could be power loss, so EDP is checking the operation of auxiliary power units.
